Generally I’m ok with fish, so I settled on the prawn cocktail and the salmon for mains. I’m neither, I just prefer vegetables and salad and I felt like I had to just order something. To say it caters for vegans and vegetarians is a stretch at best. I eat a largely plant based diet and was really concerned about the menu. Obviously sent the server away asking for a few minutes. I kid you not we were in our seats at that point for about 4minutes and dealing with 2 kids as well as having just navigated the drinks order. When the drinks were brought over, incredibly promptly we were asked if we were ready to order. I thought this was odd as upselling the wine should be high on to do list of most servers. We were sat down and immediately asked for our drinks order, no drinks menu provided or few moments to settle. It appears clean so I’m not too fussy about decor after that.

The environment is ‘nice’, I think in the winter when it’s dark it really would look special. kids menu and there were enough items in there for them, I made a rookie error and didn’t check the main menu. We booked for Saturday evening as a last of the summer holidays treat for the kids. I hate writing bad reviews but after seeing the rating of almost 5* I feel I have to give my opinion so other customers aren’t misled.
